Bahamas Cruising Permit Fees For 2020
Bahamas Cruising Permit Fees For 2020
With most peoples minds on Dorian and the storms after effects, as well they should be, some other matters of business have been out of sight-out of mind.
But it is official—Effective January 1, 2020, the price of cruising permit fees is changing.
The Fee Schedule for vessels, as of January 1, 2020 will be as follows:
Up to 34 feet: $150 for 3 months; $300 annually
35-100 feet: $300 for 3 months; $600 annually
100-150 feet: $500 for 3 months; $1000 annually
150-200 feet: $800 for 3 months; $2000 annually
Over 200 feet: $1000 for 3 months: $2000 annually
These fees are good for a second re-entry within a 90-day period.
In recent years most of those active in the boating industry have noticed an increased presence of large yachts in the Bahamas. Some see these updated fees as an attempt to make the fee schedule fairer as now a 37 foot boat will no longer be paying the same as a 175 foot yacht.
The fees will cover:
Cruising Permit
Fishing Permit
Departure tax for up to (3) three people. $20 extra for each additional person.
