Here’s to new beginnings…

For those of you who are new to the Nassau Yacht Haven, or are perhaps visiting Nassau for the first time, Welcome!

For those of you who are already a part of our extended Yacht Haven “family”, thanks for being along for the ride.

The Nassau Yacht Haven marina is in the process of undergoing some changes. Many of these are to make your experience with us a much more pleasant one. We have a new owner who is shaking things up a little bit. His goal is embrace the long maritime history of the property while making sure your home away from home offers you the amenities you have come to expect while exploring our beautiful islands on the water.

We have the basics: water, electricity, showers and laundry facilities, 24 hour manned security. We recently added a WiFi system that is receiving great reviews. We also added a phone line allowing our guests to call the US, Canada or Mexico free from our office. We have an ever changing book exchange in addition to information on all there is to do and see in the capitol. This in addition to the World Famous Poop Deck Restaurant and Bar on site. Bahama Divers, a full PADI facility, also calls this their home, so all your diving needs and great gifts are just steps away.

So while we are on the subject, our location is part of what makes us a great choice when choosing a marina in Nassau. We are close to just about anything you may want or need while here. There are a couple of grocery stores within a mile of us. The newest one, Fresh Market, is about 1200 feet to the east, in Harbour Bay Plaza. Directly across the street are a pharmacy and a smoke shop. The Yamaha dealer is also there. Adjoining us to the east is the Mercury and Evinrude dealers, as well as a complete marine store. On the corner from there is a gas station and a liquor store.  A few steps further in either direction will take you to several other restaurants.

Continuing to the east, there is a beautiful, and free, park and public beach at Fort Montague. Weekends find this a lively place where tropical drinks and local food, as well as music are for everyone’s enjoyment. Fort Montague has stood there for centuries and the area overlooks the harbours entrance to the east. Well worth the walk, or short cab ride.

Whatever you are in need of, we will be happy to help you find it. Just ask. Our goal is to make your stay with us a pleasant one.
